The house has changed hands several times since its founding. Under the guidance of the Lurton family, who took ownership in the mid-20th century, Château Brane-Cantenac has flourished, blending tradition with innovation to produce wines that are revered for their elegance and complexity. The château cultivates 75 hectares of vines. Cabernet Sauvignon is the main variety followed by Merlot and small quantities of Cabernet Franc.
