Château Rauzan-Ségla, an esteemed wine estate in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1661 by Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan. This illustrious property quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest wines in the region. The house tends 70 hectares of vines with Cabernet Sauvignon accounting for nearly two-thirds followed by about a third of Merlot and small quantities of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by maturation for 18 months in top-quality Sessile oak barrels, about 60% of which are new. This step imbues the wine with complexity and spicy notes while serving as a backdrop to layers of rich, concentrated fruit. Château Rauzan-Ségla features aromatic ripe red and black fruit, floral hints and spicy hints in a silky palate with smooth, well-integrated tannins. This Grand Vin has the structure for considerable cellaring when it unfurls and develops even greater complexity.
