Nestled on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, Château Beau-Séjour Bécot's origins can be traced back to Gallo-Roman times. The estate gained prominence in the 18th century under the stewardship of the de Carle family. It was General Jacques de Carles who named the estate "Beau-Séjour" in 1787. The Bécot family, known for their deep roots in the region, acquired the château in 1969 and brought innovative changes. Under their guidance, the château's underground quarries were converted into cellars, providing an ideal environment for wine aging. This château was classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint-Émilion classification.

The 16-hectare vineyard of Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (24%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (6%). The château utilizes hand-picking and rigorous sorting to ensure that only the best grapes are used. Vinification is carried out in temperature-controlled vats with the aim to preserve the fruit's character, followed by maturation in oak barrels for 16 to 20 months. The resulting wines are known for their silky tannins, opulent fruit, and a touch of minerality that speaks of their elevated origins.
